The British Standard regarding fire safety has been replaced by
BS 5306 part 8 October 2012.

The following information has changed.

• The distance a fire extinguisher should be situated so it is not more than the maximum distance required.
• Minimum quantities in extinguishers dependant on room size and hazards.
• Changes to fires involving vegetable and animal fats and oils in pans and fryers.
• Provision of Class F extinguishers for wet chemicals.
